Kiptopeke State Park is situated on the Chesapeake Bay three miles north
of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel on Route
13. It is a mecca for nature lovers. The Park is a stopover for
migrating birds and has a banding station. A fishing pier, boat ramp,
guarded swimming beach, camping facilities and picnic areas are just a few
of the amenities of this beautiful park.
Nearby is the Eastern Shore Wildlife Refuge, which was established by the
Department of the Interior and is open to the public. Exhibits and nature
trails are available. The Visitors Center is located just off Route 600
near the entrance to the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel.
