First Generation1. Clementine Esther ANSTINE was born November 1, 1898 in Marion Station, Dorchester Co, Maryland. She was the youngest daughter of Rev. Daniel Webster ANSTINE and Eliza “Lida” Clementine HUBBARD. She was the second wife of Nathaniel Franklin TAYLOR of Hallwood, Va. a widower with five children. They were married on November 24, 1931 in Vienna, Dorchester Co, Maryland by her father. She then became a mother to the children and worked beside her husband in a country store in Hallwood. She resided in Hallwood for over 40 years and was a member of the Hallwood Methodist Church. Clementine died May 19, 1976 in Hallwood, Accomack Co., Virginia. She was buried in Taylor’s Cemetery in Temperanceville, Accomack Co, Virginia.
Second Generation - parents2. Daniel Webster ANSTINE was born August 2, 1858 in Stewartstown, Pa. He was the son of John George ANSTINE and Catherine ZELLERS. He became a minister in the Methodist Church and accepted his first charge in 1879 in Vienna, Dorchester Co, Maryland. He served many charges on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, Delaware, and Virginia. Serving for many years at the Hallwood Methodist Church, Hallwood, Accomack Co, Virginia. Rev. Anstine married Eliza “Lida” Clementine HUBBARD. He died June 16, 1947 and is buried in East New Market Cemetery in East New Market, Dorchester Co, Maryland. 3. Eliza “Lida” HUBBARD was born January 24, 1864 in Dorchester Co, Maryland. She was the daughter of William Thomas HUBBARD and Frances “Fannie” James WEBB. She died June 1, 1927 and is buried in East New Market Cemetery in East New Market, Dorchester Co, Maryland. Lida and Daniel had the following children: Amanda Elizabeth (“Bessie” HIGGINS, wife of Clarence L. HIGGINS of Vienna, lived in Hallwood for many, many years with her sister, Clementine TAYLOR ), Levi, Hammond, Quitman Hurley, Ida Frances, Catherine, and Clementine Esther.
Third Generation - grandparents4. John George ANSTINE was born in 1814 in Stewartstown, Pa. He was the son of Henry ANSTINE and Elizabeth MILLER. He married Catherine ZELLERS. John George served in the state legislature. He died in 1877. 5. Catherine ZELLERS was born in October 1815 in Pa. She was the daughter of Bartholomew ZELLER II and his second wife Rosina MILLER. She died in 1901 after living several years with her son Daniel Anstine in Vienna, Dorchester Co, Maryland. Catherine and John George had twelve children. 6. William Thomas HUBBARD was born May 12, 1833 in Dorchester Co, Maryland. He was the son of Clement HUBBARD and Sallie (?). He was a farmer. He married Frances James WEBB on February 11, 1863 in Dorchester Co, Md. He died June 15, 1903 and is buried in East New Market Cemetery in East New Market, Dorchester Co, Maryland. 7. Frances “Fannie” James WEBB was born December 24, 1829 in Dorchester Co, Maryland. She was the daughter of James WEBB and Eliza BRAMBLE. Her father died before her birth and her guardian was John Webb. She married first George Washington HICKS son of Henry W. HICKS. She had one son by her first marriage, James, who died as a child. Second she married William Thomas HUBBARD. She died October 21, 1891 and is buried in East New Market Cemetery in East New Market, Dorchester Co, Maryland. Fannie and William Thomas had the following children: Eliza Clementine, Daniel A., and Oliver Webb.
Fourth Generation - great grandparents8. Henry ANSTINE was born in September 8, 1791 in Pa. He was the son of George ANSTINE and Anna Barbara SHERER. He married Elizabeth MILLER in 1829. He died in March 21, 1872 in Stewartstown, Pa.. 9. Elizabeth MILLER was born in 1795 in Pa. She was the daughter of Abraham MILLER and Eva (?). She died in 1876. Elizabeth and Henry had thirteen children. 10. Bartholomew ZELLER II was born in 1754 in Pa. He was the son of Bartholomew ZELLER and Anna Maria HESS. He first married Barbara Ort and second Rosina MILLER. He served in the Revolutionary War. He died in 1826. 11. Rosina MILLER was born in 1794 in Pa. She died in 1887. Rosina and Bartholomew had the following known children: Levi and Catherine. 12. Clement HUBBARD was born in 1795 in Dorchester Co., Maryland. He married Sallie (?) He second married Eliza BRAMBLE on October 17, 1848 in Dorchester Co, Maryland (same as #15). He was a farmer with a large farm between Cambridge and East New Market, Maryland. He died in 1863 in Dorchester Co, Md. 13. Sallie (?) She died before 1848 in Dorchester Co, Maryland. Sallie and Clement had the following children: Daniel, William T., Sarah Ann, Emily, Peter A., Emily, and Jensey. 14. James WEBB was born April 11, 1802 in Dorchester Co, Maryland. He was the son of Francis WEBB and Rosanna DIAL. He was baptized in the Greater Choptank Parish. He married Eliza BRAMBLE on December 29, 1828 and was reported in the Cambridge Chronicle. Bond was provided on April 20, 1829 for him to be a constable of East New Market, Md. by Thomas Dial, Jeremiah Bramble and James Webb. He died before July 1829 in Dorchester Co, Maryland. 15. Eliza BRAMBLE was born in 1810 in Dorchester Co, Maryland. She was the daughter of Jeremiah BRAMBLE and Lovey WHITELEY. She first married James WEBB and second Clement HUBBARD. She died March 21, 1880 and is buried in East New Market Cemetery in East New Market, Dorchester Co, Maryland. Eliza and James had only one daughter, Francis James WEBB.
Fifth Generation - great great grandparents16. George ANSTINE was born in November 24, 1761 in Pa. He was the son of George Anstine the Immigrant and Catherine BURGER or RINGER. He served in the Revolutionary War. George married second Hester MATTHEWS. He died in May 30, 1846 and is buried in Sadlers Cemetery in Hopewell Township, Pa. 17. Anna Barbara SHERER was born in 1765 in Pa. She was the daughter of Jacob SHERER and Catherine (?). She died in 1815 and is buried in Sadlers Cemetery in Hopewell Township, Pa. Anna and George had the following known children: Catherine, Elizabeth, John, Barbara, and Henry. 18. Abraham MILLER 19. Eva ( ?) 20. Bartholomew ZELLER I was born in 1716. He immigrated to America in 1743 and was an early land owner in York Co, Pa. He died in 1799. 21. Anna Maria HESS 28. Col. Francis WEBB was born about 1780 in Dorchester Co, Maryland. He married Rosanna DAIL on January 7, 1800 in Dorchester Co, Maryland. He second married Harriet HICKS. He served in the 11th Regiment of Dorchester Co. during the War of 1812. He died on August 11, 1835 in his 55th year in East New Market, Dorchester Co, Maryland. 29. Rosanna “Rose” DIAL was born April 25, 1777 in Dorchester Co, Maryland. She was the daughter of William DIAL and Frances DINGLE. Rosanna and Francis WEBB had the following children: William, John, Samuel, Eliza, Josiah, Thomas Henry, and James. 30. Jeremiah BRAMBLE was born in 1780 in Dorchester Co, Maryland. He was the son of John BRAMBLE. He was married five times. His second marriage was to Lovey WHITELEY on December 28, 1805. He died October 30, 1851 in Dorchester Co, Maryland. 31. Lovey WHITELEY. She died circa 1810. She and Jeremiah had the following children: Emily who married a CORKRAN, Eliza, and (?) Bramble who married Hooper B. Stevens.
Sixth Generation - Great Great Great Grandparents32. Johann George Von (Einstein) ANSTINE was born in 1737. He came to America through the port of Philadelphia from Rotterdam on the Neptune on September 24, 1751. He was an original settler in York Co, Pa. He married Catherine BURGER or RINGER on October 8, 1753. He died in 1799 in Shrewsbury, Pa. 33. Catherine BURGER or RINGER. She and George ANSTINE had ten children. 34. Jacob SHERER 35. Catherine (?) 58. William DIAL He married Frances DINGLE on December 11, 1762 in Dorchester Parish in Dorchester Co, Maryland. He died after 1780 in Dorchester Co, Maryland. 59. Frances DINGLE 60. John BRAMBLE was the son of John BRAMBLE and Eliza (?). He died November 1799 in Dorchester Co, Maryland. His children were: Jeremiah, John, and Zebulon.
