I Jerom Griffeth of Northampton County Senior being very Sick and weak in body but perfect mind and memory thanks be given unto God: therefore calling unto mind the mortallity of my body and knowing that it is appointed for man once to die I make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament
That is to say Principally and first of all I give and ---my Soul into the hands of God that gave it and from my body I recommand it to the Earth to be buried in a christian like and decent manner at the discretion of my Executrix noting ----- but at the general Resurection I shall Receive -- -- against by the mightly Savior of God and -- -- -- wordly ----
*I give and bequeath to my son Jerom Griffeth the sum of one shilling

*I give and bequeath to my daughter Elizabeth Freshwater the sum of
one shilling
*I give and bequeath to my son Jonas Griffeth a piece of land lying
south erly upn my son's Thomas Land, by the plantation 50 acres more or
less to him and his heirs for ever after my decease
*I give and bequeath to my well beloved wife Elizabeth Griffeth all
and every part and parcell of my goods and cattle that I am now possessed
to her own proper use and disposal all during her natural life and after
her decease to go equally divided between my sons Benjamin Griffeth, Thomas
Griffeth, Jonas Griffeth and my daughter Margaret Griffeth
*I -- make and ordain my well beloved wife Elizabeth Griffeth sole
Executrix of this my Last Will and Testament and I hereby --- ---revock
and disannull all and every other former Testament Wills and Legacies ---

This last will and testament of Jerom Griffeth was Presented by Capt William Harmanson as an attorney for Elixabeth Griffeth widow and Executrix threof ---at probate might be granted her of the ---which was according proved in open court of the above said county by the ---oaths of William harmanson and henry harmanson jur and allowed as ----
