Will of Esther Fitchett

In the name of God Amen
I Esther Fitchett being sick and weak in body but of perfect sense and
memory blessed be God for it do make this my last will and testament in
manner and from as folloeth
Item I give unto my son John Fitchitt one good feather bedd and bedstead
and one bolster and two pillows one rugg one blankett and two sheets and
the curtains that belongs to it and one brass kittle instead of twenty five
shillings one iron pott holds about five or six gallons three chears and
two pare potthangers and my will and desire is that all my sheets may be
equally divided between my two sons Joshua Fittchitt and John Fittchitt and
I give unto my son John one couch and four glass bottles and one little
pewter bottle and all these article above mentioned that are given to my
son John Fitchitt I give them to him and his heirs forever and If my son
John dies before married I give them to my son Joshua Fitchitt
Item I give unto my son Joshua Fitchett one little iron kittle holds about
a gallon and one iron spitt and three chears and one pewter bason. I give
them to him and his heirs for ever.
Item I give unto my son Witherinton Fitchett one hundred and fifty pounds
of tobacco which he ows to me and one English Shilling. I give unto my two
grand children Nehemiah Fitchitt and Comfort Fitchitt two barrols and a
half of corn which my son Jacob Fitchitt did owe to me to be equally divide
betwixt them.
Item I give unto Rachel Hill one Virginia cloath pedicoat.
Item I give unto my daughter Susanna Fitchitt one silver bodkin and two
gold rings and one damask(?) gound and pedicots(?) and one linen wh--- to
her and her heirs for ever
Item I give unto my grand daughter Elizabeth Sharp one Virginia cloth
pedicoat
Item I give unto my daughter Elizabeth Sharp my mantle and one shilling
English money
Item I give unto my son Thomas Fitchitt my silk handkerchief and three
yards of honycut and my will is that my son Thomas Fitchitt may give my two
sons Joshua and John Fitchitt as much good cloath as will make each of them
a pare of briches and I desire my son Thomas Fitchitt may take care of my
two sons Joshua and John Fitchitt and learn them to write and read. I give
unto my son Joshua two hucksback napkins and to my son John two huckaback
napkins and to my daughter Susanna two bi--- napkins and to my son Thomas
two huck-back napkins and to my grand son William Sharp two young lambs and
I give all the rest of my estate to my son Thomas Fitchitt.
and I do make and appoint my son Thomas Fitchitt my ---- executor of this
my last will and testament and my will and desire is my estate may not be
raised nor inventoryed and have here unto lett my ----- seal this twenty
ninth day of March one thousand seven hundred and sixteen
